If the city of Grenoble is surrounded by mountain ranges as high as they are technical, it is on flat ground that its ekiden is run, organized every fall. What is an ekiden? Let us explain!
What you will find on site:
• An ekiden format to get you out of the routine, and a children's race;
• An unmissable sporting event in Grenoble to experience with others;
• On-site instructions and refreshments.
Course focus:
Coming straight from Japan, the ekiden is an event that is run in relays by teams of 6. Loop after loop, the participants set off head down to pass the baton as quickly as possible over 42.195 km (a marathon). So choose your partners wisely and head to the scientific peninsula of Grenoble for the collective warm-up! Because it would be a shame to penalize your friends by pulling a calf.
Then we're off for 8 loops of 5 km to be divided according to your preferences. For the finish, the last segment of 2.195 km is reserved for those who still have some left in their soles. A great collective effort that will be celebrated as it should be at the solidarity village where musical entertainment and a catering stand await you.
3 (very very) good reasons to participate:
• A fun format to experience surrounded by your best friends (or colleagues);
• The solidarity village and its many activities;
• The eco-friendly aspect of the race: dry toilets, carpooling and no plastic.
