Le Havre urban trail

Running is fun. And when the playground is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it takes on a whole new dimension! In addition to its exceptional setting, the Havre Urban Trail (or LHUT for short) offers you a wide choice of races and a unique Normandy atmosphere!

What you will find on site:

• The marathon (solo or relay), the semi, the 12 km, a marche/race of 7 km and trails benjamins, poussins and mini-poussins ;

• 1200 D+ on the marathon event with 5 refreshment points on the course to keep you going!

• An army of volunteers: course marshals, welcoming runners, etc.

Course focus:

The biggest trail event in Normandy, the LHUT offers a striking face-off between the modernist concrete architecture of Le Havre and the raw beauty of the landscapes coastlines.

Okay, that's for the postcard, now you have to choose your race! If you really want to get your thighs warmed up, the marathon (and its 1200 m of positive elevation gain) seems like the perfect choice. As a bonus, you'll cross all the iconic places in the area: the Cathène of containers, the beach of Le Havre, the hanging gardens, and even the castle of Montgeon.

Other options, the half with its 500 m of D+ and 2000 steps or the 12 km, for a concentrate of Le Havre heritage. There's even a 7 km and 3 formats of children's races.

The LHUT is also a lively village and a mother/child challenge for Mother's Day. Good atmosphere guaranteed!

3 (very) good reasons to participate

• The 4,600 steps of the marathon, or 2.8 Eiffel Towers, depending on how you count;

• The mystery race… Apparently it’s uphill, that’s all we know;

• Concerts, food trucks, refreshments and stands to chill out after the effort!
