There are races that know how to mix sportsmanship and gastronomy, to the great pleasure of the participants (we see you). The Côte Chalonnaise Wine Marathon is one of them, but we bet you guessed it!
What you'll find there:
• A marathon, a semi, a 12 km, an 8 km and a children's race;
• Pacemakers to pull you towards victory, starting pens and instructions on place;
• A real tourist visit to the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards.
Focus on the course:
Organized at the return of spring, the Côte Chalonnaise Wine Marathon has local wines and local products as its common thread. And what about running? No fewer than four races are available, from 8 km to a marathon. No matter the distance, the playing field is the same for everyone since the organization invites you to discover the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards and its towns.
As for refreshments, you'll be served. Keep a close eye on your watch, because between the menu and the musical entertainment, we guarantee that you'll have a hard time getting going! Tasting of Côte Chalonnaises wines, snails, pâtés en croûte, gougères and parsley ham: train your legs, but especially your stomach if you want to keep up the pace. Our advice is to keep some in reserve since a final surprise buffet awaits you behind the finish line!
3 (very) good reasons to participate:
• Costumes welcome with a reward up for grabs;
• Burgundian specialties at the refreshment points;
• The festive atmosphere that is in full swing all day long.
