A must-see sporting event in Brittany, the Cancale Saint-Malo Half Marathon is a race that has retained its early charm despite growing popularity. We'll explain!
What you'll find there:
• A single event, the semi-marathon: take it or leave it!
• Pacemakers, shuttles and starting pens;
• A race by the sea, magnificent landscapes, iodine and very salty coasts (like butter).
Course focus:
We'll give you a thousand guesses: the Cancale Half Marathon Saint-Malo connects Cancale to Saint-Malo. On the other hand, did you know that it is the biggest half-marathon in Brittany? We bet you didn't. Organized for over 30 years, the event now attracts nearly 4,500 runners over the course of a race that offers the most beautiful landscapes of the Emerald Coast.
Judge for yourself: the emblematic Guesclin cove and its beach (one of the most beautiful on the coast), the cliffs of Cancale, or even the ramparts of Saint-Malo... So many little gems that you will have plenty of time to observe if the weather permits. And we really hope so, because 21 kilometers with your face machine-gunned by the Breton drizzle is an experience we don't wish on you. So, are you tempted? Don't hang around: the bibs are snapped up like little crackers.
3 (very) good reasons to participate:
• A course with a few hills but worth the detour because it's so beautiful;
• The company challenge to liven up the gossip around the coffee machine;
• The unique atmosphere with a good taste of coming back.
