Chaparun

On the border between Isère and Savoie, there are trails just waiting to be explored. Chaparun is one of them. Here, the first foothills of the Chartreuse open their arms to you, among vineyards, forests and panoramas that hold your gaze far longer than expected. A playground shaped by passionate people, to be discovered at the foot of mont Granier.

What you'll find on site:

• 3 trails: 6 km (280 m D+), 13 km (350 m D+) and 24 km (1000 m D+);
• A 6 km family walk to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace;
• An exceptional setting at the foot of mont Granier, with views of the Bauges, Belledonne and Mont Blanc;
• Refreshment stations along the routes (km 3 for the 6 km, km 7 for the 13 km, km 11 and 19 for the 24 km) — remember to bring your eco-cup;
• A friendly atmosphere, driven by a team of passionate people;
• Sections on public paths as well as private ones, for a varied experience.

Here, each format has its own character.

The 6 km (280 m D+) is the little one: an accessible loop through vineyards and forests, ideal for discovering the terrain or enjoying yourself without pressure, already offering beautiful viewpoints over the heights of Chapareillan.

The 13 km (350 m D+) is the middle ground: you start getting into the thick of it. The rhythm sets in, and so does the terrain, with the landscapes of the surrounding massifs making their presence felt at every push.

And then there's the 24 km (1000 m D+), the serious one. Longer, more committing, but above all more spectacular. An effort that builds over the kilometres, carried by the beauty of the Chartreuse ridgelines and the sweeping views over the Bauges, Belledonne and Mont Blanc.
