Course des terrils

You see a slag heap? Climb it. Go back down. Climb back up. And start again. The Course des Terrils is a bit like that, but more fun, where every runner, from rookies to seasoned trail runners, finds their challenge.

What you'll find on site:

• An XXL choice of trails: from 3 km family to 45 km hardcore, including night events;

• A unique atmosphere, a clever mix of music, friendliness and the spirit of the North at each refreshment point;

• A unusual game in the heart of forests, marshes and, of course, the famous slag heaps to climb again and again;

• A journey into the past to meet the mining heritage, between old infrastructures and industrial remains.

Course focus:

Ready to measure yourself against the slag heaps? Choose your event from the range of events for all tastes: from 10 km night races where your headlamp will be your best ally, to 45 km trails that will awaken every fibre of your muscles. And for the youngest or those who like walking, adapted courses are also on the program. Each race will take you through landscapes with a thousand faces: mysterious marshes, dense forests and, of course, the iconic slag heaps. These black giants, vestiges of the mining past, will offer you breathtaking panoramas (and a good excuse to take it again).
