The Roth Challenge is one of the most iconic long-distance triathlons in Europe. For over 30 years, the small town of Roth in Bavaria has been alive with the rhythm of this extraordinary event. Every summer, it welcomes athletes from around the world to take on the challenge: swimming 3.8 km, cycling 180 km, and running a full marathon of 42.195 km. Here, performance counts as much as experience, driven by a leading organization and a unique atmosphere created by residents, volunteers, and spectators.

Course Focus:
The start is at the Main-Donau Canal for a 3.8 km swim. The 180 km bike course runs through the Franconian countryside: long straights, steady climbs, and winding roads that require as much management as power. Finally, the final marathon brings the runners back to the heart of Roth, on a varied route combining riverbanks, roads, and urban passages. A complete and demanding course, but designed to be tackled with strategy and consistency.
