Ready to put on your triathlon suit?
It's time to pull out all the stops. Welcome to Gandia, on the Valencian coast, for the ICAN Triathlon: this Spanish event is a feast for the eyes of salt, effort... and pure satisfaction.
What you'll find there:
For swimming, a safe circuit in the port of Gandia. One or two loops to complete, depending on your fitness level, in a Mediterranean that awaits you.
By bike, courses designed to precisely cover the miles: up to 182.8 km for the most adventurous. A smooth transition in the Avenida La Paz parking lot, with a sunny atmosphere and warm asphalt.
On foot, you can digest your cycling outing with a marathon, a half-marathon, or a shorter format. It's hot under your running shoes.
Solid and liquid refreshments at the right places, special bags to collect... never. Yes, here, you travel light and stay focused.
A nice reward combo: finisher's medal, vintage t-shirt, backpack, and your well-deserved little recovery pack at the finish.
Course Focus:
It all starts and ends at Playa de Gandia. That's where you dive in, switch disciplines, and push yourself to the finish line. For the swim, you circle the harbor counterclockwise, floating out. No waves, no excuses. Then, head for the kilometers of cycling: pay attention to the marked areas; there are technical bends and challenging asphalt. Finally, the run is to be savored (or endured) with several laps and numbered refreshment stops to keep the pace.
In Full, it's the regional long-distance championship. In the Half, you'll be competing over 1.9 / 81.8 / 21.25 km—very intense and challenging. Prefer to skip the CAP? The Aquabike formats (MD and LD) are made for you. And if you want to try it without burning out, the short format (1.5 / 41.3 / 7.25 km) will do the job. Be careful, places are limited for the latter.
3 (very) good reasons to participate:
Doing a triathlon in Spain means checking the box: sun, effort, and Mediterranean vibes.
It's a true regional championship: here, you come to perform.
Finishing the ICAN is etched in your legs. And in your mind, long after you've crossed the finish line.
