Since 2004, Ironcat has established itself as the reference race for triathletes who want to combine performance and unspoiled nature, in the unique setting of L'Ampolla, in Spain. Nestled in the Catalan region, this unmissable event plunges you into the heart of the Parc naturel du Delta de l'Ebre, between the Mediterranean Sea and protected wetlands.
What you'll find on site:
Two formats suited to all levels: Full (3.8 km swim / 180 km bike / 42.2 km run) and Half (1.9 km swim / 90 km bike / 21.1 km run), with the Half introduced in 2024 to broaden the experience;
A spectacular natural environment, between rice fields, lagoons and Mediterranean beaches, just a few hours from Barcelona;
A rectangular swim in the natural harbour of Fangar, with start and finish at the Club Nàutic de l'Ampolla;
A fast and flat bike circuit, designed as a 30 km loop, through the typical landscapes of the Delta de l'Ebre;
A run course on laps over an asphalt circuit, which will put your pacing to the test over 7 laps (Full) or 4 laps (Half).
Course focus:
The calm waters of the Fangar harbour give you the starting signal, before tackling the bike on a consistent loop, perfect for building your power and maintaining your rhythm. The final leg, a run on laps over smooth road, puts you up against the sometimes playful winds of the Delta, in an extraordinary natural setting.
