La montée de la croix

Forty years of climbing. Forty years the calves still remember. La Montée de la Croix is a local classic that never gets old. Impeccably organised, with an atmosphere that makes you want to stay and a course that makes you want to come back above all.

What you'll find there:

• Two adult races: the Foulées Autunoises (4.3 km) or the legendary Montée de la Croix (11.3 km), plus children's races;
• An organisation driven by a passionate club and a friendly atmosphere from the first to the last runner;
• A well-deserved refreshment stop at the finish… because those legs deserve a thank you.

Course focus:

Start right in the heart of Autun. Then, one direction only: the Croix de la Libération. The climb has made the race's reputation for 40 years. At the summit, the view rewards the effort, the refreshment stop resets the counters, then it's on to a great descent down to the finish line.

Still on the fence about the climb? Go for the Foulées Autunoises this year, and come back for the Croix next year.
