Le grand raid Réunion

We no longer present the Grand Raid de la Réunion, a flagship trail running event which includes the famous Diagonale des Fous.

What you will find on site:

• 5 races of 50, 70, 100, 151 and 170 km, and between 2,500 and 10,500 m of D+;

• Courses as magnificent as they are demanding, an unrivaled feeling of freedom, the opportunity to become one with your environment;

• An entire island focused on this grandiose event;

• A well-oiled organization as only Reunion Island has the secret.

Course focus:

A monument of ultra trail running created in 1989, the Grand Raid de la Réunion brings together some of the best trail runners on the planet every year. For the occasion, the entire island of Réunion vibrates to the rhythm of merciless races that take down the most enduring athletes. But it's really so cool, huh!

And if we mainly talk about the Diagonale des Fous, the Grand Raid offers 4 other equally tasty distances. Depending on the route chosen, you will have the chance to admire the green cirques of Mafate and Cilaos and run at the foot of the Piton Des Neiges. Don't skip training: they don't call it "the hell of the Diag" for nothing!

PS: take a little wool with you to spend the night. The thermostat drops at high speed.
