Come challenge the mystical legend of the Hairy Feet on the highlands of La Comté!
Just a stone's throw from the slag heaps, you'll discover the first hills of Artois. Nestled in the heart of a verdant countryside, this small village of La Comté (900 inhabitants) will offer you many surprises with its castles, its mill and its 15th-century church. Routes crossing woods, undergrowth, fields, running alongside waterways, stony paths and ridges… And of course, you'll get your share of elevation gain! From the top of its 189 metres, the Mont de la Comté (famous for its paragliding spot) is already laughing at the sight of you grimacing! But what a reward afterwards, when you stop to admire these splendid landscapes and cross paths along the way with cows, rabbits, hares, pheasants and, for the luckiest ones, does and roe deer!
The Trail des Hobbits in La Comté is also an immersion in the legend of the famous "Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien. Come challenge the Hobbits and their hairy feet, claim your precious at the finish line and enjoy a festive atmosphere with plenty of entertainment!
