There are races where you come for the time. Others where you come for the atmosphere. At the Foulées du Château, you don't have to choose. At the heart of the patronal festival of Attignat, this iconic event has been bringing together runners, walkers, families and supporters for nearly thirty years in a day where sport is lived as much as it is shared.

Course focus:
In Attignat, the courses have a slight rollercoaster feel. The legs loosen up on the descent towards the Reyssouze before crossing this iconic river of the Bresse. Then comes the moment when conversations stop: the famous climb up to the church. Three hundred and seventy metres that seem much longer when the thighs start to burn.
Speed enthusiasts will encounter this stretch twice on the 10 km, just to see whether the supporters' encouragement is enough to make you forget the effort.
Fancy leaving the tarmac? The 18 km trail race takes you along the paths and tracks of Attignat, all the way to the ruins of the Château de Jalamonde, passing through the Beaux Bois before a return, also via the church climb. Because it had to end in style.
3 (very) good reasons to take part:
The Foulées du Château is the kind of event that reminds you why we love pinning on a race bib so much: a course that works the legs, volunteers who put a smile on your face and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay long after the finish line. So, shall we meet in Attignat?
