Here, no false flat, just real elevation. At the Luchon Aneto trail, you breathe as much to get some air (hello 2,000 m altitude) as in front of the breathtaking panoramas that are offered to you.
What you will find on site:
• A village of exhibitors with local products, music and calories to recover after the battle;
• Refreshments and assistance zones every 15 km to recharge everything that needs to be recharged;
• The traditional list of mandatory equipment specific to long events. We're talking about 20 hours of mountain running, not an EF jog.
Course focus:
Will your legs be up to your ambitions? Come and check it out on the different LAT courses, from the fast 10 km to the 85 km ultra for those who like long conversations with themselves. Each bib will allow you to discover the Pyrénées around Luchon and the ski resort of Superbagnères, with breathtaking views (already exhausted), technical trails and even a little detour through Spain to add an international touch to your exploit. Not to mention the welcoming base camps where even your loved ones have forgotten your first name. The very essence of mountain trail running.
Three (very) good reasons to participate:
• The LAT Challenge 2x40: if a 40 km trail is not enough, why not do two, one on Saturday and one on Sunday?
• Crampons are part of the mandatory list, there is often snow on the course… Almost a biathlon without skis, in other words;
• Climb summits for a t-shirt, because the real memories are the pain in the legs and not just the finisher's medal.
