For a weekend, the city of Colmar comes alive to the rhythm of a marathon that has become unmissable. Focus on a race that smells of sauerkraut and Riesling.
What you'll find there:
• A marathon to run alone, in relays or in trios, because it's better with others;
• A semi, a 10 km and a children's race;
• Instructions, shuttles, showers, refreshments during the race and at the finish;
• Routes between town and vineyards (don't touch the grapes along the way).
Focus on the route:
Organized since 2015, the Colmar Marathon aims to help you discover the town and the local wine villages along a pretzel-shaped route. You couldn't make it up! Once the start is underway, head for the wine route (we bet we have your full attention here) which you'll definitely know like the back of your hand. Finally, the routes run along the Lauch before a spectacular finish on the iconic Place Rapp. To help you get back on your feet in case of a tough time, you can count on the music groups present throughout the race!
Special feature: the squadron format, which allows you to form a team for even more fun. You start your marathon alone before being joined by a friend after 21 km, and finally by another for the remaining 10. Everyone has their own distance, so be careful to choose carefully!
2 (very) good reasons to participate:
• An event that combines running and tourism;
• A charity race that supports local charities.
