An institution of road racing in the Hauts-de-France region, the event is coming back stronger than ever. And this time, it's big: the Marathon International de Lille is making its grand come-back after 31 years of absence. Three decades later, the wait is finally over. Ready to write a new page in Lille's history?
What you'll find on-site:
• Three distances on the 2026 programme: 10 km, half-marathon… and the grand return of the marathon;
• FFA-certified courses ("Gold" and "Bronze" labels), renowned for their records and ultra-fast profile;
• A 100% Lille atmosphere: supporters who never give up, noise, heart… and the traditional chips/beer stands at the finish line — mental fuelling comes first.
Course focus (and what's new):
While the official marathon route hasn't been revealed yet, one thing is certain: on 25 October 2026, the streets of Lille will be buzzing like never before. You'll race through the city centre, you'll definitely pass the Citadelle, and you'll savour that mythical finish at the place République Beaux-Arts.
The half-marathon and the 10 km will take place on the same day, bringing together elites, PB hunters and Sunday runners in one shared excitement. The courses, true to their reputation, remain fast, flat and calibrated for performance.
And if you want to extend the Lille running experience: the Urban Trail de Lille will return in a spring edition, to take you through another backdrop of the capital of Flanders.
