At night, the trails don't tell quite the same story.
The Néthen Night Trail takes you running by headlamp around Néthen, in Brabant Wallon, along country paths, forest passages and singletrack where every footfall demands a little more attention. Three distances, a late November atmosphere, and that very particular feeling of running in the dark: you see less far ahead, but you feel so much more.
No need to overcomplicate things here. The concept comes down to a few words: a headlamp, a race bib, marked trails, and the pleasure of discovering the Néthen valley in a whole new way.
Course focus
The Néthen Night Trail offers three formats: 7 km, 15 km and 25 km. The 7 km lets you get a taste of night trail running without going too far. The 15 km adds elevation and variety, with a proper format for running in the atmosphere without committing to a long evening. The 25 km pushes the experience further, with more elevation gain and greater demands on effort management, lighting and terrain.
The courses alternate between open paths, more wooded sections and singletrack. At night, even the simplest passages take on a different face: a root becomes a reminder to stay focused, a climb is managed by beam of light, a descent requires clean technique. It's not there to frighten you, but to add texture to the race. You move forward in your own bubble, follow the markings, keep your rhythm, and enjoy what night trail running does best: turning a familiar corner of the world into a real little adventure.
