A trail that lives up to its name. With its summits stretching as far as the eye can see, its elevated passages, its technical trails and its breathtaking landscapes, the Odlo High Trail Vanoise is one of the great alpine events of the summer.

But here, you don't need to be an ultra-trail runner to toe the start line. Whether you're looking for a serious challenge or you're simply curious to discover mountain trail running, the event has been designed so that everyone can find their place. From the demanding long format to the accessible discovery course, it's a 100% mountain weekend… for all profiles.

What you'll find on-site:

  • 5 formats for all levels: from the tough 67 km (4,100 m D+) to the 9 km discovery trail (280 m D+), accessible to beginners and walkers on the charity format;
  • A start in the heart of Val d'Isère, among alleyways and ever-present summits;
  • Routes traced along the most beautiful trails of the Vanoise, with passages reaching up to 3,500 m in altitude and through the heart of the Parc National de la Vanoise for the longer formats;
  • A well-oiled organisation: bib collection the day before, regular aid stations, guaranteed safety and a friendly atmosphere;
  • A festive finish in the resort with a partner village and entertainment throughout the weekend

Course spotlight:

The 67 km (4,100 m D+) is a true journey into the heart of the Vanoise: starting from Val d'Isère, passing through Bonneval-sur-Arc, listed among the most beautiful villages in France, linking together numerous singletrack trails, crossing mountain passes and passing by high-altitude lakes. Technical, committing, demanding… and spectacular from the first to the last kilometre. Looking for an intermediate format? The Trail des 5 Cols (35 km – 2,550 m D+) takes you to discover Val d'Isère and the superb trails of the Parc national de la Vanoise. More accessible, the Balcon (20 km – 1,150 m D+) offers a climb towards the Lac de l'Ouillette and a panoramic route with views over the valley. Finally, the youth race and the charity Petite Vanoise (9 km, run or walk) allow beginners, families or city dwellers who want to discover trail running to experience it gently.

Here, everyone finds their perfect fit… and their ideal trail.

3 (very) good reasons to take part:

  • To live an alpine adventure in the heart of the Vanoise, tailored to your level;
  • For the diversity of formats: whether you're a seasoned competitor, a weekend trail runner or a curious newcomer, there's a start line for you;
  • For the unique atmosphere of Val d'Isère in summer: a lively resort, perfect temperatures, careful organisation and a 360° panorama that makes you want to come back.

The Odlo High Trail Vanoise is not just a race. It's a vertical immersion into everything the mountains have that is greatest, most beautiful and most demanding. Take a deep breath. Climb. Enjoy.
