Just a stone's throw from Brussels, come experience a bike race like no other. Vintage, good humor, and just the right amount of competition between friends.

 

What you'll find there:

• A 3 km loop to be completed 10 times in the center of Huldenberg;

• Cobblestones, bends, climbs... and furious spectators;

• A village straight out of the 60s, with a spiegeltent, a brass band, and a pig on a spit;

• A race for real fans... or at least for those with a good sense of humor (and a bike from before 1986).

 

Dress code & Bike:

Forget carbon and the latest gadgets.

Here, it's steel, frame-mounted shifters, and vintage pedals are a must. And what about style?

Woolly cycling shorts, a proudly worn mustache, unshaven legs... you'll be in the theme or you won't be.

 

The retroOttenburg spirit?

It's simple:

• You come with your retro bike (and your helmet, it's non-negotiable);

• You take a reconnaissance lap behind vintage cars;

• You embark on a timed race where each pedal stroke is a tribute to the good old days;

• And you end the day by shaking your hips in the mirrored tent to the sound of a DJ or a live orchestra.

• Nobody will will judge if you are the last to cross the finish line.

• Each participant leaves with a goody bag and tokens to exchange for drinks (if you hand in your transponder, eh).
