The Schneider Electric Paris Marathon is THE biggest marathon in France. That's all. We warn you, you're starting with one difficulty: it's impossible to look at your feet for more than 5 minutes. Between the entertainment, the supporters' signs and the Parisian architecture, switch to tourist mode and let yourself be carried away, you're going to be amazed. But be sure to keep your footing, there are many kilometers on the sneaky Parisian cobblestones.
What you will find there:
• Pacemakers to push you towards your goal;
• A fairly smooth and balanced route between large boulevards and wooded sections;
• Easy access to public transport, lockers, toilets, pins (yes, we also always forget them), refreshment points every 5 kilometers: everything to make your life as a (future) marathon runner easier;
• A “business challenge” option, to add a little twist to your coffee break;
• For supporters: a route is drawn to guide your movements from one Fan Zone to another and support your favorite runner.
Focus on the course:
At the start, take advantage of the momentum of the descent of the Avenue des Champs before rolling out for 42.195 km. Head for Concorde, the Opéra Garnier, straight towards Bastille. Need some greenery? That's good, at the 11th km you're in Vincennes. A quick tour in the Bois, passing in front of the Château, a little refreshment, and we're off again. Take a deep breath before tackling the tunnels of the Seine quays, don't forget to say hello to Quasimodo as you pass Notre-Dame Cathedral, and remember to look both ways before crossing the avenue between the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro. Second breath of fresh air with a detour to Boulogne, and straight towards Porte Dauphine. Do you smell what I smell? Yes, it smells like the end! And sweat. But hey, after 42 km, the prescription is over. ATTENTION, we bring out our biggest smile for the photographers waiting for you at the finish. Whether you are team social networks or display on the fridge, having at least one stylish photo on your route, it's nice.
It's time to create new memories. Let the stress leave your body, clear your head, mingle with the crowd, and get started. Everyone has their own pace, everyone has their own Paris Marathon, whether you're a new marathon runner or an experienced athlete, we guarantee you a life experience that you won't soon forget.
4 (very) good reasons to participate:
• Get out of your comfort zone and take on a new challenge (first marathon? New PR?) on a fairly smooth and super enjoyable course;
• (Re)Discover Paris and all the splendor of its scenery in one tour;
• Take part in the biggest marathon in France, which brings together more than 50,000 runners in an exceptional atmosphere;
• Take advantage of it to go sightseeing! Visiting without being at 180 BPM is also nice.
