The Australian asphalt is calling you. And this time, it's not a metaphor. The TCS Sydney Marathon is entering the big leagues with its arrival in the (very exclusive) circle of Abbott World Marathon Majors. A historic first for Australia, and an unmissable event for anyone who has the race in their blood.
What you'll find there:
Course Focus:
A World Major marathon isn't just a race. It's a legendary playground, designed to thrill you from the first to the last kilometer.
The start is on Miller Street, in keeping with the Sydney 2000 Olympic legacy. From the first few meters, you'll hit a global city, bathed in light. The course has been revised, redesigned, and refined: fewer tight turns, more straight lines, a smoother pace; you'll be able to settle in, breathe, and push on.
What's next? The Rocks, Anzac Parade, Centennial Park… And to your delight, the organizers even removed the 35th-kilometer hill (RIP Moore Park Road), replacing it with a fast and exhilarating finish. You finish in style, full throttle towards the finish.
The finish line beckons you, facing the unmissable Opera House, an architectural gem. Behind you, the Harbour Bridge. In front of you, a legendary finish line.
4 (very) good reasons to participate:
The TCS Sydney Marathon is much more than a potential personal record or a new milestone on your list of achievements. It's a moment in history. And this year, it's yours.
