It's not the runner who takes to the sea, it's the Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer peninsula that takes the runner... Ready to wade, little all-terrain trailer? ⚓
What you'll find there:
• A picture-postcard setting: a typical seaside village, fishermen's houses, stretches of mud (yum), coastal paths, you get the idea;
• A very varied course both in terms of its landscapes and the terrain you'll be covering;
• 4 refreshment points, toilets, showers, and for after the race, a very local refreshment point is just waiting for your stomach to cry "carbiiideeess".
Course focus:
Dive in! The course starts by crossing the charming village of St Jacut. Fishermen's cottages, alleys smelling of iodine, it smells of Brittany full on. Then, head for the sea via the Port de la Houle Causseul and the Châtelet, before arriving at the Château du Guildo. Roll up your pants, you're at the water's edge for a few miles! Hello soft sand and mud, running was still too easy until now. Finally, you can also enjoy the sublime coastal paths to reach the island of Ebihens before heading towards the finish line.
3 (very) good reasons to participate:
• The sea! The idyllic setting, the song of the seagulls (watch out for the poop falling from the sky), the sea air, pure happiness;
• The opportunity to surpass yourself surrounded by hundreds of highly motivated trail runners with the most beautiful spectacle before your eyes. No need for headphones with the sound of the waves in your ears!
• The post-race meal. On the menu: sardinade, sausage pancakes, potatoes, crepes, Breton far and more.
