Course focus:
Each format is a gateway to the Côte Chalonnaise, but all share the same DNA: varied terrain and viewpoints that leave a lasting impression.
The youngest open the proceedings with the Trail du petit "voyageur" (2.5 km – 40 m D+), a first nature immersion, short but already engaging.
The 7.3 km (288 m D+) Le "Petit Cabillonum", accessible from cadet level, carves its route along winding paths and takes you to a 360° viewpoint over Mont Avril. An ideal format to test your legs without rushing past the scenery.
With Le "Moyen Cabillonum" (13.9 km – 487 m D+), the terrain becomes more playful: climb towards Montbogre, passing by the ruins of the Renache mill with views over Givry, soothing forests, then the ascent of Mont Avril to finish with a head full of images.
Le "Cabillonum" (18.6 km – 648 m D+) pushes exploration further. Same opening stretch, but with a foray into the Vallée des Vaux, a distinct change of atmosphere, before returning to take on Mont Avril. Climbs, descents, panoramas: the balance is there.
And for those who want to see more, the Trail du Grand Cabillonum (28.2 km – 924 m D+) unfolds a true fresco: Vallée des Vaux, ruins of the château de Montaigu, crossing a moorland with lunar landscapes, open views over the plain of the Saône, then a demanding climb before returning to the foot of Mont Avril. A condensed version of the Espace Trail de la Côte Chalonnaise.
