Trail du Grand Cabillonum

The Grand Cabillonum Trail is a unique sporting event in the Côte Chalonnaise region, with challenges for all levels and interests!

What you'll find on site:

• A Youth "Discovery Biathlon" Race (U12, U14): 2.5 km with 40 m of elevation gain, followed by 2 shooting rounds. A short penalty loop is added for each missed shot.

• Progressive Trail: 7.3 km with 280 m of elevation gain. Participants choose to complete 1 to 4 loops.

• Progressive Duo Trail: A duo completing 1 to 4 loops of 7.3 km together. Cadets and Juniors follow specific rules regarding the number of loops.

• Adult Discovery "Discovery Biathlon" Race: 2.5 km with 40 m of elevation gain, followed by 2 shooting rounds and penalty loops if necessary.

• Non-timed hiking and Nordic walking: 7.3 km, with the option to do one or two loops.

• Strategically placed aid stations for everyone: at km 7.3, 14.6, 21.9, and 29.2 for trail runners; at km 7.3 and 14.6 for walkers; and at km 2.7 for the introductory biathlon.

What you'll find there:

The concept is simple, almost surprising: a 7.3 km loop with 280 m of elevation gain, and the freedom to decide how far you want to go. Runners set off together, without necessarily knowing how many times they'll pass the same point. One loop, two, three, or four: it's up to you, your legs, and your mood.

The scenery remains the same. Paths and trails that are almost entirely natural, winding between vineyards, woods, and hillsides. Open views of the Côte Chalonnaise, sections at the foot of Mont Avril, and the constant feeling of running through a living landscape, shaped by vineyards and ancient stones.

Special mention for the introductory biathlon: 2.5 km, elevation gain, shooting to manage, and penalty loops if your accuracy isn't up to scratch. Fun, challenging, and truly unique.
