Triathlon de Deauville
Mythical beaches, an iodine-tinged countryside, and maybe even a movie star or two on a terrace... Deauville is the spot where triathlon becomes legend.
What you'll find on site:
- Four formats from Découverte to Triathlon L, including a kids' race for budding mini-triathletes. Spoiler: the little ones have just as much guts as you do;
- 5-star facilities: toilets, showers, luggage storage, massages... Here, even the logistics are classy;
- An exceptional playground: open-water swimming to channel your inner mermaid (or distressed sardine), cycling on rolling roads to test your calves, and running along the mythical Planches of Deauville.
Course focus:
Every year, more than 10,000 participants take on the now iconic Triathlon de Deauville. The open-water swim gives you chills before the starting gun even goes off. On the bike, Normandy reveals its charms: stud farms, thatched cottages, and winding little roads full of short sharp climbs. Fair warning, it does get steep — some of those hills will have you negotiating with your gears. Finally, the run lets you breathe (or not). It's flat, facing the sea, and every step brings you closer to the finish line. Go on, treat yourself to a heroic sprint finish under the applause — you've earned it. Who knows, maybe your final sprint will be immortalised just like in a movie?
3 very good reasons to take part:
- The prestige, the supporters, the quality of the organisation: it's one of the biggest triathlons in France, and for good reason;
- The open-water swim section is as unforgettable as it is challenging. Watch out for cold currents 🌊;
- The ocean, the countryside and the Norman villages straight out of Pinterest. Who said suffering couldn't be beautiful?
