Course focus:
The course Rodolphe Bodart ARW is one of the must-see events in the area. With its two highly accessible routes, everyone finds their own pace to tread the cobblestones (or tarmac) of Waterloo. As well as being a healthy stroll through the town and its surrounding countryside, this event is also something of a walk through history. Between Victor Hugo coming to finish the manuscript of his novel Les Misérables and the traces of the famous Battle of Waterloo - the final phase of the Napoleonic Wars that saw the defeat of Napoleon I, hold on tight to your trainers so you don't finish the race seeing stars.
PS: don't forget to make a detour to the Lion's Mound on your way back, it's well worth it.
