Haven't had enough of running alone? No worries, the Hybrid Arena has something to delight you with its mix of running and functional and strength training exercises. It's going to work up a sweat.
What you'll find there:
- Two race formats: the "RACE" option, which combines functional and strength training exercises and running phases (800 m); the “STRONG” option, same concept, minus the running.
- The possibility of going solo or in pairs depending on your desires (and your ability to bring your friends along for your spicy lifestyle choices);
Course focus:
Here, the concept is simple. The challenge offered by the Hybrid Arena consists of a circuit made up of several strength training stations, separated by a running segment where you can go full throttle.
The “RACE” course is as follows:
- 800 m run, 30 calories Echo Bike
- 800 m run, 50 Step Box
- 800 m run, 50 Thrusters (6 kg for women / 10 kg for men)
- 800 m run, 500 m SkiErg
- 800 m run, 100 Weighted Lunges (10 kg for women / 20 kg for men)
- 800 m run, 50 m Burpees Broad Jump
There you have it.
The format “STRONG”, meanwhile, is made up of:
- 500 m SkiErg
- 20 Dead Balls
- 50 Lunges
- 500 m Rowing
- 100 m Farmer Carry (16 kg for women / 24 kg for men)
- 30 Devil Press (10 kg for women / 20 kg for men)
- 30 Step Box
- 30 calorie Echo Bike
With all that, if you can still walk straight…
3 (very) good reasons to participate:
- The pleasure of varying the disciplines, exploring the possibilities, going to touch your limits in an original and very complete event;
- Doing these damn PPG sessions that you've been putting off so much, stubborn little runner;
- Prove to yourself that you're capable of anything. And ask for more as soon as you cross the finish line.
