Les gendarmes et les voleurs de temps

What do you have planned for Pentecost? A little trail to honor the name of this celebration? Come hike in Ambazac in the Limousine region, in a lush setting, in the middle of 6,000 hectares of ponds and forest.

What you will find there:

• Several trail routes (5 km, 10 km, 20 km, 32 km), two hikes and children's races for a hassle-free return journey;

• 5,000 runners and easily double the number of supporters and volunteers;

• Police officers for a masterful show;

• Refreshments, instructions, toilets, and even physiotherapists at the end of the race.

Course focus:

The opening of hostilities is not on foot, but on horseback. Well, not YOU on a horse. Let me explain: after a spectacular start given by 3 gendarmerie riders in 19th century uniform, we are indeed on a foot race 😏. Initiated and supported by the gendarmes, Les gendarmes et les voleurs de temps (now managed by an association) is a large festive and family gathering, which mixes sport and military tradition. Depending on your goal (or the shape of your legs), you have the choice between several distances to walk or run to discover the pretty limousine countryside. Fields, ponds, woods and cattle on the program 🌳.

Bonus point that we love: budding trail runners can also run with one of their parents in a relay event. If all this doesn't inspire vocations!
